Back from SDCC!
Hi everyone! (yes all 4 imaginary friends that read my blog) I got back from San Diego a couple days ago and hands down it was the best trip ever. A tip to those trying to break into the industry. If you want to meet people go to the parties. You meet so many people there, and beer makes everyone your friend!
So i want to give a quick shout out and thank you to everyone who hung out with me durring and after the convention. And especially to those who took the time to look at and critique my portfolio!
Yes i’m gonna be cheese and list them: Dina, your like my comic con wingman, Comic cons couldn’t possibly be any fun without you! Thanks to Pier for hanging out with me and Dina and introducing me to other writers, we had a blast that weekend, and i hope your voice has come back! Jason McNamara, Omaha Perez, Larry Young, and all the other guys at AIT-Planet Lar You guys were a riot to hang out with, and i apreciate all your support! It was gret to meet Chris Goble. I always love seeing Twenty to Six books, they’re like my comic book parents, always so proud to see what i’ve been doing!
Thanks to Paul Ens of Red 5 Comics, Alex Leung of Studio 407, Kevin Freeman of Ape Entertainment, and Vince Hernandez from Aspen Comics for taking the time out of the busy days at the con and looking at my portfolio and giving me critiques. Its the #1 reason i go to the con, so if you guys didn’t do that i would of been wasting my time.
Now what you’ve been waiting for PICTURES!
Now this year i didn’t take very many photos. It was alot of the same from last year. Big Heman Statue. Star wars figures. millions of people. blah blah blah. So the only pics i took were things i found especially interesting. Enjoy!
My second favorite part of the Con is just sketching durring my travelers. This is the sketches i did during my trip:

This was our Waitress we had one night. Some proportions may be exagerated....but not as much as you would think.
Well thats all for this trip. If you wanted to see silly costumes i’m sure they’re up at other blogs. Gonna start to try and blog regularly again. But know knows, i make no promises…….

Shono,
I am raging with jealousy. What an awesome trip you had. Awesome sketches too! Perhaps someday you will be lucky enough to get your throat slit by me.
