Last week I posted a picture to commemorate the fact I’d sold out of Shadows of Oblivion #1 special edition.

But I realized that at the low resolution you might not of been able to see the way I had used just Blue, Red, Yellow, and black.  No opacities or gradients.  Just solid 4 colors.

So here’s a close up:

As you can see, every color is just a red, blue, yellow, or black dot.  Which answers a few questions about old comics.

1. Why every comic character had either black, yellow, or red hair. (no one had brown hair.)

2.  Why Every character had blue eyes (green and brown are not the easiest colors to make)

3.  Why everyone had pink skin.  (racism aside, you don’t get any variation in skin pigment, everyone is pink)

4. Why Shadow colors were used sparingly.  Shading was heavily dependent on the line artist and their hatching.

So you go.  Some old school for you.

Tomorrow is No excuses!  Yayyyy i get to yell at you.
